Using Soy Wax Melts
Wax melts (often called "tarts"), come without wicks and are used in electric tart warmers. They are extremely easy to use, and very cost effective since you only buy the wax and not the jar.
Just throw a melt into your warmer, and let the heat melt the wax and release the wonderful scent in your home, office, or dorm. When the scent is gone, pour extra wax out and replace with a new melt. Wax melts work wonderful in places where you can not burn a candle, or do not want an open flame.
Prairie Soy Candles Soy Wax Melts
Prairie Soy Candles offers soy wax melts in all of our scents, and in many different package sizes. We use only 100% soy and a small amount of beeswax in all of our candles. No messy dyes, which can clash with your tart warmer!
Customers at craft shows have told us our wax melts are larger than others you see. Our's weigh an ounce (or 32g), while most melts you see are about half as much.
The melting point for our wax melts is very low, and work wonderful in warmers using as low as 25 watt bulbs. Each melt has an absolutely wonderful scent throw, which lasts for 2-4 days (sometimes longer) depending on the scent and how long it's in the warmer. Since our wax melts are larger than most, you never have to use more than one melt in your warmer.
Packs of Sampler Wax Melts
Sampler melt packs come with specific seasonal scents, usually in packs of 10 or 12. Substitutions are welcome if you see a scent you do not like. We know not everyone has the same scent preferences.
One of the most popular sampler melt packs is the "Bakery Scents", which features many of our food-type scents. Because it is so popular, we keep this pack available all year. Other packs of sampler wax melts which we feature at certain times of year are floral packs, summer packs, and holiday packs. When these packs of sampler wax melts become available, we announce it in our newsletter and on our blog, Candle-Talk.com.
