Prairie Soy Candles offers handpoured, maximum scented soy wax candles in over 70 different scents. We pride ourselves on using only 100% soy wax with a small amount of beeswax, without dyes or additives.

Candle Scents

Did you know we are constantly adding new scents to our line of scented soy wax candles? We publish a weekly newsletter that announces our latest scent or product. Each and every week we add something new! Many times we'll even offer discounts or samples to our newsletter subscribers.

Occasionally we run across a scent that isn't as popular as the rest. In this case we discontinue it, and let our subscribers know. Often times subscribers receive discounts on scents we plan to discontinue.

With over 70 different scents (and growing!), you are sure to find exactly the right scent to fit your home & style. We try our best to offer your favorite scents, as well as interesting and unique blends. Many of the unique blends are ones you may have never heard of. Although they quickly become favorites!

Local Information

Do you live in central Iowa? If so, we can deliver scented soy wax candles directly to you! Find information on future craft shows, refil information, and delivery on our local information page, which is at our online soy wax candles store.

You'll find us at craft shows mostly in the summer and just before Christmas. Adventureland Craft Show is one we attend on a regular basis. You'll also find us at small town celebrations in the summer in towns such as Prairie City, Monroe, and Baxter. If you are in need of scented soy wax candles and live in the area, please stop by and say hello!

If you are wanting us to deliver your scented soy wax candles, please check with us first before ordering. With the rise in gas prices, we've had to put a limit on local deliveries. We will deliver to Des Moines and surrounding towns. Delivery is also available in most of Jasper and Marion counties (including Newton, Monroe, Colfax, Prairie City, Pella, and Knoxville).

Prairie Soy Candles is a small family run business (mother-daughter team) in the heart of central Iowa. Since we are a small business, we are able to offer a personal touch to all orders of scented soy wax candles. Customers are friends to us, not just a number. Read more under "About Us".

Because we are not a large company, we can offer one on one customer service for our soy wax candles. If at any time you are hunting for "just the right scent" or scented soy wax candle but aren't sure if we offer it, please feel free to contact us. We welcome special request. In fact, the majority of our scent list is made up of customer requests!

Handmade Soaps by Jillian

In November 2010, Prairie Soy Candles began offering a few selective soaps from Soaps by Jillian. This is the granddaughter/daughter of the Prairie Soy Candles mother-daughter team. Even at 8 years old, she's learning a lot about having her own business, and enjoying her new hobby!

You can find her soaps available along side our scented soy wax candles under the "Soap" category of our store, or other products for sale at her very own Etsy Shop.
